  • Spotify may finally join Apple Music's lossless audio party two years late

I think it's a relatively small slice of the Spotify pie that have the equipment to reproduce lossless music correctly (let alone the environment to listen to it without distractions).
It's nice that Apple includes it without charging extra, but not sure I would pay extra to have it.  Since most people don't have a clue and just want the best music (regardless of the fact their AirPods can't reproduce it) many will pay for it not realizing they're not hearing what they're paying for.

  • 15-inch MacBook Air teardown reveals few changes from 13-inch model

Oh geez… what  would a new Mac model release be without another crank post from the IFixit cult. Will they ever give it a friggin’ rest? Look, I get that you’re a bunch of sad old dudes who will always remember your high school A/V Club as the highlight of your lives, but nobody wants a highly repairable, build-it-yourself Tandy computer anymore.
Curious...did you take a scientific poll to come to that conclusion or are you projecting your own opinions on everyone else?

  • Bug in new Mac Pro is disconnecting internal drives

Seems rather bad if you were working on something that was on those drives and they suddenly "eject" while your Mac was sleeping.

How could they (the beta testers and developers) not have seen this?

  • Lawsuit that claims Apple and Amazon elbowed out resellers will proceed

This case is mystifying to me. Apple is selling the new 14" M2 MacBook Pro (16GB/512GB) direct for $1,999. AppleCare+ is $299 extra.

I just bought that same computer on Amazon for $1749. And Applecare+ was $279.

How is that a conspiracy or price rigging? Because B&H AND Adorama had it for the same price as Amazon.
I don't get it either.  Amazon's prices on Apple products are often some of the lowest.  How could they be "20% higher than what they would have been otherwise."?  Otherwise where?  Some shifty 3rd party nobody selling grey market on Amazon that doesn't return emails when you need support?  Product meant for Central America and being resold in the US?  I'll take cheapest, fastest deliver and backed by Amazon.

Let me guess. It’s faster, with a bigger screen.
That would be an incorrect guess! Bigger screen yes, but speed should be on par with the MBA 13" from last year, UNLESS... if you recall, the new MBA 13" introduced us to SSD-gate. Instead of the base model SSD getting a 2x128 configuration as with the wedge M1 model, Apple switched to 1x256... which, if you pushed the machine to do what no base model of the MBA would be purchased to do, did not perform as well as the wedge M1. But if you ordered 512GB of storage or more, you still got the 2x configuration. In the latest MBPs however, Apple switched to a 1x512 configuration for those ordering that size SSD. Only 1TB and above gets the 2x configuration. So I wonder if that will be the story with the new MBA 15" -- the 256 and 512 storage tiers will get a single chip, in which case the MBA 13" 512GB might outperform the 15" model on certain tasks.
    I don’t care….
Don't you?  It's sad that Apple gives you less and wants to charge you more to get back what they took away.
