  • AirTags catch United Airlines in lie about missing luggage

“ However, that conversation took place after Szybala had used her AirTags to track the luggage to a dumpster behind a residential apartment.”

    And then:

“ At some point after this, though, Szybala's AirTag showed that the baggage was on the move and was seemingly now at a McDonalds. Shortly afterwards, she reports that it left McDonalds -- and returned to the apartment with the dumpster.”

I suspect AI writers may also work for United support as they can’t seem to make up their mind on where the bag is either. Probably worth noting the customer in question said the bag was at an apartment complex not at a dumpster. That was AIs crack journalism team adding some artistic flourish. I
I suggest you re-read the article and what Szybala said.  The quote by the customer explicitly says it's "Out back by the dumpsters".   I'm not sure where your confusion is?

Yet another expensive piece of junk from Tesla, guaranteed to stop working, if you can get it to work at all.
You really have a hard on for Elon don’t you .
I don't own a Tesla car, but our neighbor across the street had 2 (not at the same time) and Tesla repair truck was at their house more frequently than I would expect for a new car.  My Hyundai has been flawless, never to a repair shop in 6 years (knock on wood).

  • TikToking Apple employee fired over medical leave, not videos

Unless she was under contract, Apple can terminate her at any time, for any reason, or no reason at all.
If she was under contract, it's certain that HR ran her termination by Legal, and they cleared it. If she sues, she will fail. Or bankrupt herself trying to combat Apple's $2,000/hr lawyers. Best she can hope for is a lowball settlement.
Not true.  There are protections in place for employees.  You can't fire a pregnant woman because she's taking time off related to her pregnancy, for example.
(Well, you could fire her, but you'd lose in court and the pregnant woman would become very rich).

  • Apple TV owners report issues with exiting YouTube app

I wonder if this is related to a black screen issue with the YouTube TV app that started happening a couple months ago?  When watching anything on YTTV, then turning everything off when done, when you come back and turn things on, the YTTV app has a black screen (normally, it would just start playing the channel it was last on).  Options are to force quit YTTV, or come out and go back into YTTV and wait (the app will force quit itself).  It hasn't been fixed yet and happens on all our Apple TV 4K boxes most of the time.

  • Microsoft Authenticator watchOS app to be discontinued in January

This makes no sense.  All of the sudden WatchOS is insecure?  I've been using my watch to acknowledge Authenticator requests for a long time and never an issue.
This isn't a show-stopper but it is annoying that I have to have my iPhone next to me to use Authenticator now (and not really being told why...)
