  • Will Smith's 'Emancipation' gets unexpected Apple TV+ release date

Nope don’t want to see anything with Will Smith in it near future.
Glad I'm not alone.  And it's not just because of the "slap" incident.  When he and wife boycott the 2016 Oscars because not enough minorities were winning just invalidated any future winners if you ask me.  Do people win now due to excellence in performance or just because they are part of a quota?

  • Logitech's 'Designed for Mac' collection includes a mechanical keyboard

$150 for a mini keyboard?  It doesn't even have an Apple logo on it!

  • Compared: Apple Watch Series 8 versus new Apple Watch SE

I know that everyone has different priorities but for me, I wouldn’t even consider the SE because the always-on display is critically important to me.
Curious what is critically important that you need AOD?  I have an SE and my eyeballs can't see it in any other direction than face up.  When I do that, the screen comes on instantly.  When I tilt my wrist back down, the screen goes off, saving battery.

  • Apple releases tvOS 16 with Matter support, HDR10+ & other minor updates

Uh No. matter will be supported but most definitely not in this release.   I suspect 16.1 or maybe even .2.  Matter keeps getting delayed.
    I think they covered that:

“While support is there, the actual standard launches later in the fall.“
The article says support for Matter is in tvOS 16, but the industry has not rolled it out as a standard yet.  @jcoh says it is not in tvOS 16 as of today.

The way I read the article is that support for Matter is in tvOS 16 (today) but not really useful because no one is using it as a standard yet.

  • Apple's iPhone subscription may still arrive in 2022

You will own nothing, and be happy.
No need to own old tech
Except perhaps to save some money and not buy every new version that comes along?
Trading in an old iPhone and getting $1000 from a carrier is saving money.  Getting that $1000 a nickel at a time (it feels) keeps you from upgrading every new version.
I don't see how a subscription will be a value.  You stop paying, and you have nothing.  It's only saving grace would be if it's cheaper than carrier payments AND includes the most popular Apple services (Apple Music, ATV+ and iCloud storage).
