You need a backup plan before you move to macOS Catalina
MacPro, just a word of caution. I have been a religious user of Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC) for years and it has never failed me. But CCC for Catalina is in beta and is not yet "qualified" for Catalina. You will see this message when running an older version on Catalinas "Carbon Copy Cloner 5.1.10-b3 — This is a pre-release update of CCC".
But the CCC folks seem to think they have most of the changes completed. Still having a second backup of some sort might be advisable until CCC for Catalina comes out of beta.
