  • Hollywood studios hit by Avid shutdowns on Mac Pro [u]

October coming... Mysterious shutdowns... Halloween..... Brilliant!!
     :D  :D

Wouldn't that be something.....throw a bunch of zombies into the mix, and it's an end-of-the-world party!!!

But, seriously, must be a software update glitch...

  • Apple leads the entire US PC market in consumer satisfaction

My experience using Apple PCs has been good so far, and i am not thinking of switching brands any time soon. iMac Pro is my current favorite.

  • Disney CEO Bob Iger says left Apple board because 'paths were conflicting'

Hmmm, when Eric Schmidt left, Google stole the iPhone. Are Disney stealing AppleTV?
Sure, that makes perfect sense. I mean, Disney only already owns The Walt Disney Studios, which includes Walt Disney Pictures, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox, Fox 2000 Pictures, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Blue Sky Studios, ABC,  Disney Channel, ESPN, Freeform, FX, and National Geographic, so they definitely would need an insider to steal intellectual property from Apple on how to set up a media company.
     :D  :D :D :D sarcastic much...

    anyway...

I wish Iger all the best in his endeavors. He left for the right reasons, and he's a bigger man for it.

  • Editorial: The NSA remains uninterested in our safety by calling for encryption weakening

Is the NSA lazy or stupid?

After reports that Google discovered a vulnerability in iOS recently, Apple responded to it and explained that the Chinese government were using an exploit to target certain individuals.

If the Chinese are able to snoop on iOS devices, than why can’t the NSA do it without complaining that tech companies are making it too hard?
I think the NSA should just give us a break on this one; I'm not comfortable with the NSA having permanent access to an iOS backdoor. They'll use it or abuse it, and everything will eventually get messed up

  • OLED patent aggregator suing Apple over implementation of every screen it uses

Apple has deep pockets which is why they started with them. This suit is going nowhere because Apple only purchased the products and had nothing to do with their creation or the IP used to make them.
The patent owner has absolute standing to sue Apple for infringing.
"Patent owners can sue anyone up and down the chain of distribution for infringement of patent. Manufacturers, distributors and end users are all possible litigants."
Yes, they can sue, but I don't think this case has enough merit to result in anything substantial for OLED; but as with these cases, let's just wait and see how things go along
