    Bringing back the 12” MacBook? Sub 2lb ultra portable
    Mac. 

    Would be cool to have like a PowerBook Duo type setup. 
    Studio display at $999 (down from $1299). 
    12.2” Macbook with A18 w 20 hour battery life $999. One thunderbolt one MagSafe and skip the 3.5 port. Pairing with monitor will allow better audio out or Beats/Airpods combo. 

    Basically the basic MacBook A18 like the iPad A16. 
    we have Mac Mini Mac Studio and Mac Pro (needs update power wise) for tiers. 

    While all this sounds cool it again feels niche. So we’ll see.

    Here’s my idea:

    new iPhone (just called iPhone) $499
    new iPad (still just called iPad) $399 (again)

    both lower end chips. less sophisticated/costly internals. 
    Support Apple Intelligence via WiFi/cellular only via Private cloud compute. If one wants ChatGPT that’s included on higher tiered iPhone 15 Pro, 16, 16 Pro etc. otherwise get the app yourself and pay etc.  


    cellular iPad ties well with carrier connectivity/plans. Win/win. 

    Path to 16 upgrade or low cost option for those that can “live” without Apple Intelligence on device.

  • Apple sued for not paying New York Apple Store staff weekly

    Apple retail stores have been open for over twenty years. This person worked for 8 years and didn’t quit or file a suit while working? For 8 years the biweekly pay schedule worked somehow? There are 11 Apple stores in NYC alone operating for over 15 years, has the state not noticed what frequency Apple pays thousands of employees? I get the idea that someone wants their earnings as soon as possible, but the money is the same amount it would be either way, it’s how it’s managed between pay checks. Not sure of the merit of this case.
