How and where Trump's new tariffs affect Apple

And, you're missing that the $500 billion investment wasn't new investment, and instead was already-announced projects and business as usual.
No I think you are getting it wrong Mike. Trump 1.0 he also said no exceptions to tariffs until Tim talked him out it. Second trump is under the impression the 500b is def new money(maybe it is only Apple knows) because he brought it up again yesterday. Tim is the savviest CEO out there. He walked away with a 500b tariff exemption. It’s just pathetic fear has caused irrationality. No way there is not going to be an exemption and Trump will use some excuse like”well Apple needs to make money to pay the 500b” to justify it.With all due respect: lmao
You're either suggesting Trump is weak willed and will back down the moment he is challenged, or you're willing to believe anything that will make this seem like a good idea. (It's not) -
Apple shares hammered after Trump tariff announcement

The US is only 4.22% of the world's population, Building production capacity and training people in the US would take decades. Most companies will try to weather the Trump term and hope things return to normal.
The rest of the world will likely look at the 95.78% of the world's population and find our own way.Is not the point of tariffs to reduce this 26% as it is a large trade imbalance with the rest of the world funded by debt.
It would appear to me useful if US consumers would bear the brunt of this transition by reducing their imports, which is what tariffs should do, painful though it will be.

Trump's 'Liberation Day' tariffs hit every one of Apple's international manufacturing part...

Apple CEO Tim Cook makes a cool $24 million in serendipitous stock sale
phoenix1386 said:It is always amusing to see sites such as this one do what they do, even if seems completely supine. I’ve always wondered why. Are they paid by Apple to use ‘serendipitously’ in a headline? Why not just say the fact? Why add a qualifier aimed at making it look like it was sheer luck? You think the CEO of Apple doesn’t know what’s coming from the White House that affects his company? Oh, the naïveté. -
How and where Trump's new tariffs affect Apple
applesauce007 said:I thought only the finished Apple products were imported to the US.
The parts should ship directly to the factories and bypass tarrifs.
The only tariffs are for the final products imported to the US and Apple could absorb that or get it waived.
Moreover Apple could have stocked up before the tariff announcements and the tariffs may be over before stock is depleted.
So it is not sooo bad for Apple.
The market makers are just messing with Apple stocks.
