  • Trump's chip tariff threat takes aim at Apple's TSMC partnership

Apple should build its products in the USA. This is no easy feat, as it requires an entire manufacturing ecosystem of makers and suppliers. But still. Apple has the money to make this happen and the patience to stick with it for the 2 decades it would require. Now that would be a legacy Tim Apple could be proud of.

Intel really screwed up. They missed mobile and then missed AI. Not sure how they get back to being pre-eminent.

  • Apple Vision Pro review roundup: an experience that weighs on you

This whole launch reminds me of the once-every-17-years rollout of new 3D movie tech. "This time, consumers will love it!" Sure....

  • Apple pauses iOS 18, macOS 15 work to stomp bugs now

Only a week? That's laughable. How about an entire year? We don't need major new versions of every OS every year. All my friends and family (and even coworkers) avoid installing the latest OSes from Apple now because they are afraid of bugs and instability... no one's asking for new features.

  • Game Mode isn't enough to bring gaming to macOS, and Apple needs to do more

Steve Jobs didn't like gaming. That's the reason Apple doesn't support AAA games. It's really stupid. Apple needs to get with the times. iOS games are terrible - designed for kids, with blinking lights and beeps that sound like a casino.

The gaming industry generates more revenue than Hollywood. Apple is leaving money on the table, and forcing people like me to buy $6000 gaming PCs every few years, when I would happily buy a Mac Pro that could run games...

  • Apple Music Classical's best feature is lost on Apple's headphones

The real story is why Apple is only releasing Apple Music Classical as an iPhone only app! Are you kidding me? On an iPad, it runs as a narrow iPhone app. So I guess the world's richest company doesn't have enough resources to even make an iPad app, much less one that can also run on a Mac. I mean, they had 2 years. What's going on?

Of all the Apple platforms for listening to high res classical music, the Mac and the iPad and even the TV should be a priority. The iPhone would be the last place.
