  • Of the 60% of school apps sharing data, Android versions much worse than iOS

As I have posted several times, people give lip service to privacy and security but in practice they don’t care one bit. Most of Apple’s efforts in this matter go unappreciated  and ignored. If people cared iOS would have a much larger marketshare, which it doesn’t. Ipso facto privacy is not important.

I agree, just think how big Apple could become if they stopped caring and gave into Epic, Facebook, Google etc - these companies would really be in trouble. Maybe it would require a new CEO to do it though. Be careful what you wish for, it may come true.

  • Lossless streaming option for Apple Music may launch within weeks

Streaming lossless puts a considerably higher load on the servers and to give lossless without a premium would result in a very high user uptake.

I don’t know about that. I think the demand for ‘lossless’ audio is a lot less than the audiophiles claim it is. It would also affect users data plans, especially those who have low data plans. So even if it were free I don’t think the uptake would be overwhelming. But charging a premium for those who want lossless is a no brainer that increases revenue. If you want it, pay for it.

You may be right and as a huge amount of music has been/is recorded very poorly most will not benefit from lossless. There will certainly be no increase in dynamic range where lossless might be an advantage.

  • Developers claim that Apple's privacy-first features are 'atomic bomb' for revenue

It’s unlikely to make much difference (to advertisers) - as the advertising revenue will continue unaffected. The recipients however might change. No doubt, all the players will adjust to take advantage of any change of rules. The lazy may find this adjustment difficult.

  • English teenager suffers facial burns after iPhone charger catches fire

The law of unintended consequences -  not putting a charger in every product is likely to increase the number of cheap and maybe poor quality products. Although other companies substandard products are not really Apples problem.
