eSIM profiles and will be to switch at will, just like you can with WiFi networks.You don’t need a SIM card for your WiFi network. It might still take a few years but eventually the SIM card will be dead as a dodo.I still remember when SIM cards were the size of credit cards. Those are long gone now.

MVNOs in other parts of the world can already be activated with eSIMs, it will be the same for US MVNOs.Dogperson said:I think the MVNOs will not work without their sim card. ymmv

BMW temporarily ships cars without Apple CarPlay
+1 for Spaceage above. Chip shortages are real, the software to ensure this chip fully and properly supports CarPlay is obviously real, and there are chip shortages for other parts, too.The company will have an update soon, and CarPlay will be restored. CarPlay is wonderful, and much better than the built in systems cars normally ship with.Even Android Auto is better than a car’s native system, have seen this too many times.But CarPlay is the best :-)

Apple Watch lead Kevin Lynch reportedly transferred to 'Apple Car' team
He's the Lynchpin of the Apple Car operation now, clearly. I hope his work on Apple Watch isn't yet done, however. He left his Adobe abode, watched out for Apple Watch, and now he'll be driving us all into the future. Sweet!
