  • Trump's belief that iPhone manufacturing could quickly move to the US is wrong

“The army of millions and millions of people screwing in little, little screws to make iPhones, that kind of thing is going to come to America" -Howard Lutnick

So, if there was any question about if the Trump administration knows what it is doing, there it is. Not an f--ing clue. The cult will still carry water for Dear Leader because the cult has gotta cult.

  • A flood of panic-buying has started in anticipation of major iPhone price increases

So apple benefits from the panic buy now. Then when September hits and things have cooled a bit, apple benefits again from upgraders? Highly possible. Be interesting to revisit in 5 months.
    That is some delusional spin.

Since the election stock indexes have lost 20% in wealth. Well over 10 trillion dollars in wealth has gone poof! There are people that are retired and on fixed incomes that just saw their savings take a 20% cut. But we aren't done yet, the 20% reduction in wealth was just the first step. Now, in addition to a massive loss in wealth we will all get to pay more for basic things. None of this needed to happen, there is no external force that caused this. It was all due to the decision making of a single person. But the cult members like @9secondkox2 are living in a fantasy world where this is all really great, Dear Leader can do no wrong!  They spent two years complaining about inflation but cheerlead 10 trillion dollars of wealth evaporating from the economy.

  • Apple stock bloodbath continues after China applies retaliatory tariffs

The three batches of government are equal, none of them have ultimate authority. Unfortunately congress has abdicated its power and is letting the executive branch do what it wants with no oversight.
Congress isn't "abdicating" its power when it doesn't pass laws to limit the President. Congress isn't "required" to stop every President.

By the way, Congress has seven oversight committees which are working, and half the members on those committees belong to your favourite political party, whatever that may be.
Cool straw man fallacy there. The problem is, I never said Congress was abdicating its power when it doesn't pass laws to limit the president, nor did I say Congress isn't required to stop every president.  Cult members just love to make things up rather than engage in real conversation.

Everyone in Congress took an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States. They are given the power to make legislation, do appropriations, and oversee. The first thing on that list they are just too incompetent to do. They turned the second over to the executive branch, which is a violation of the Constitution. And yeah, they have oversight committees, but they are functionally useless. Currently, the executive branch is violating laws and the Constitution in several ways. You don't have to look any further for the administration's losing record in the courts. So Congress knows the executive branch is in violation of the law, and what have they done? Have they done hearings? Nope, instead, they have threatened to impeach anyone in the Judicial branch that does their job.

So, yes, Congress has abdicated its power.

I don't have a favorite party, and this isn't a partisan issue. But I don't expect anyone in the cult to understand that. Y'all are just accepting whatever it is that Dear Leader says.

  • Turkey launches probe into Apple's alleged price fixing

These countries are NOT practicing capitalism and letting the market bear what it will, they are fining rich companies because they see a payday.

If I sell movie tickets in my theater, but I put in special projectors and air conditioning that no other theater has, I shouldn't be limited to what other theaters charge. The free hand of the market means I will go out of business if I charge too much or too little. That's not up to the government to say. Government can check the structure of my building and the quality of my popcorn for dangerous properties and then leave me alone!

When we fixate on pricing over all else we end up with Amazon as our only retail destination. If only the U.S. government had allowed Apple and book sellers to demand a living wage off their books Amazon wouldn't be the slave labor camp it is.
You should have just said “I don’t know what price fixing is” rather than get in a soapbox and embarrass yourself by demonstrating you have no clue what it is. What you are describing isn’t price fixing and isn’t what Apple is being accused of.
