  • Apple's AI ambitions go beyond Siri LLM with Knowledge chatbot and always-on AI copilot

AAPL again screws up...  Release in 2026? IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!

When Craig was asked by Toms Guide if Siri will be rolled out in 2026, he avoided the answer and explained the root cause.
When Toms Guide asked Craig again for release in 2026, Craig looked over Joz.
    Joz said he confirmed.

Craig has no idea if Siri will be ready.. And the marketing guy said yes...

I bet that Siri will not be ready at iOS26, iOS26.1, iOS26.2 etc.

    Maybe 2027..Maybe...

But  By time they are ready, everyone will be on the next iteration of AI.

    Apple is rotten.
    Stuck on repeat again

  • Trump trumpets trade deal with China that's still terrible for Apple

    h2p said:
Why in the world publish a deal That Is t Signed??
Because this is all performative and he is desperate to be seen as having some sort of win. China knows it and that's why the "deal" amounts to nothing. At this point Trump's hand is so weak China could opt to not sign the thing knowing that it would throw the U.S. into further chaos. China holds all the cards due to Dementia Don having completely bungled the situation.

  • Trump trumpets trade deal with China that's still terrible for Apple

Sounds good. Trump cares a lot about Apple. gotta get China in line to do the most benefit since Apple seems so cozy there.
He lived up to the TACO moniker for sure or maybe this is just the result of his severe cognitive decline.

  • Apple Intelligence translation for users, new AI tools for developers coming at WWDC

    According to Bloomberg:
    • Huge redesign across all OS’s, with emphasis on buttons, redesigned app icons, tool bars, etc

    • Same shape icons on iOS

    • All apps have a new design language, but Phone, Safari, and Camera app will change the most

    • Unified Look in phone app (voicemail, calls together)

    • Messages getting polls and updated backgrounds that can be set (WhatsApp style; backgrounds will sync so both see the same thing)

    • Revamped multitasking on iPad (Mac-esque)

    • Preview app for iPhones and iPads.

    • System wide AI translation

    • Apple’s models will be opened up to be used by Devs

    • Gemini being added (supplement ChatGPT)

    • No big new AI showcase (or showcases of personal context/semantic index) because it’s not ready

If that´s true, Apple offers extremely limited contents.

Apple is the only idiot, who is still not on track, especially considering the rapid pace of innovation by Alphabet Inc.’s Google, Meta Platforms Inc., Microsoft Corp. and OpenAI.

This WWDC 2025 will be a "nothing burger" event. What a stone-aged event...

Just imagine that Apple presents what Alphabet presented at Google I/O. Apple Stock would skyrocket by 15%.

Please get some new material, your trolling game was never good and now it is not very good and really stale.

  • New study reveals where the Apple Watch gets fitness data right -- and wrong

    Two points:

    1. Several commenters obviously didn't take so much as a passing glance at the study.

    2. The article does the study a bit of a disservice. It is a meta-study, so they didn't test anything; they relied on other testing. Nothing wrong with meta-studies, but it is important to know when looking at the results. Of the studies they looked at, almost half used the Series 1 Apple Watch, and when it comes to calorie expenditure, the newest watch was the Series 6. The percentage of error for the Series 1 was 31.5%, and the Series 6 was 26.2%. So the average is 28%, but Apple has improved accuracy over time. Heart rate and steps also have become more accurate. Given that we are currently on the Series 10, we can reasonably assume that it has probably improved from the Series 6. There were some other tidbits that were interesting, like the calorie count is more accurate the more intense the exercise is and running is more accurate than cycling.
