I own this radio. It is a brick and the company knows it. Apple car play and Android auto do not work. The company can not figure out how to fix the various update that have made these two features not functional. I have talked to customer service reps and they understand that Android auto/car play does not work, for a year they have mentioned that they are trying to figure out a solution to the issue which will come in a form of an update but have no idea when that it. The reps take down your model number, email address and they tell you that they will get back to you once they have an update. They never reach back out. The rep also told me they have more important issues as because of the pandemic, they have units stuck on ships waiting to be unloaded, knowing that these two main features do not work. They said they will continue to sale customers units knowing these features won't work. Lastly, the customer service rep said that I could try to update my firmware by downloading the necessary files from the company website, however I may run into an issue to where the firmware update will cause me to lose all audio from my radio moving forward. If anyone is considering purchasing any boss radio products don't. Do not be like me and be stuck with a $350 plus radio without the basic functionality of Android Auto or Apple carplay.
