BMW confirms it will not support CarPlay Ultra
BMW is currently busy with it's all new 'Neue Klasse' concept, whose first models are already driving around here (I live close to their internal test track and see those things regularly driving around). This not only includes an all new outside design but also an all new (and obviously all digital) new cockpit, that's supposed to be a fundamental rethink of what they are doing (so far their newer cockpits are more an more looking like those ugly swasticar cockpits with lack of taste and buttons).
So I guess BMW doesn't really bother that much with Carplay Ultra (especially since the iPhones in Germany are a very niche product). They want to present their shiny new stuff to the world and nothing else.
I guess - at least for the next couple of years - Carplay Ultra will not be any concern to BMW (until they rolled out their 'Neue Klasse' stuff across all cars). Unless their new BMW OS turns out as absymal as what VW has done with their electrical series redesign (wich is so bad that they now dumped thier in house Cariad prgramming group and spend millions investing in Rivian in order to get some help with SW Development). -
Apple's 'F1' ad in Wallet won't hurt you, but it might save you $10

Apple shareholders sue over Siri delays and massive losses
mknelson said:Apple's easy defence: the stock price history.
It was on a pretty steady upward trend until the end of 2024. The big fall was after Trump announced his tariffs. -
Apple shareholders sue over Siri delays and massive losses
What a complete and utter nonsense. Stocks go up, stocks go down and that's not always related to a companies performance.
AAPL almost always has a year end rally where stock price reaches new record only to lose significantly in Q2 (first quarter of the calendar year). December is a good month to sell AAPL. Stock price usually recovers by the end of the year.
This year obviously the major damage is that convicted felon in the White House and his crazy tariffs .... and obviously Tim has lost his ability to handle the orange clown.
Thankfully I did the obvious thing and emptied my US stock deposit (which I had from my days working for Apple) and sold stocks I got for around $1 a piece ... not exactly at the top but at $250. Because I no longer trust any US bank to handle money, you never know what crazy shit the convicted felon is doing next.
