Apple TV+ is losing billions of dollars -- as planned and expected
Why should this be a tentpole feature pulling buyers to become/or stay in the Apple hardware buyers!? You can watch these shows on several SmartTVs for a long time already and they've also released TV+ on Android. So no specific reason to stay.
I do hope that something more is coming (let's say severance for the Vision Pro in 3D or something). Although I've given up hope that Apple can innovate like they used to in the 00's.
Right now this smells like a huge money drain with little to show for (except for Tim getting invited now to Hollywood events). -
Apple loses antitrust appeal in Germany, now subject to steep fines and regulations

Companies like Ford actually produce in Germany (cars designed for the EU market) -
OpenAI wants the US government to legalize theft to reach the AI promised land
Looking at the current political landscape I have my doubts OpenAI will win this face since President (in fact) Leon Musk hates OpenAI, since they won't let him play along any longer.
Then again the master of the felt pen Donald tRump can be bought, so they might have a chance.
Realistically ... comparing 'Artificial' vs. 'Natural' Intelligence, what would be the difference. Experts read books, articles etc. to form their knowledge base on which they reach new conclusions. That also happens in schools everywhere (or am I supposed to believe, that kids have personally witnessed all the events they write essays about)!?
Humans then use this knowledge base to invent new stuff, improve on that and last but not least earning money for using that knowledge.
So what's the difference? -
Apple is lying about Apple Intelligence, John Gruber says -- and he's right
Apple has lost it's edge. Remembering the days where it was at the verge of death, essentially 'betting the company' (Steve Jobs) on new product categories that are the true reasons for Apple's turnaround. Nowadays they are essentially drowning in money and spend tons on overcomplicated underimpressive stuff that are more often than not failures (like the car).
Obviously all the truly creative people are gone and the whole thing is coordinated by the CEO bean counter that doesn't care about the products. Instead we're getting more and more money grabs to milk the customers and pushing money to shareholders with stock buybacks (that essentially cover the slowing growth due to lack of products.)
Gruber is correct. The Apple is rotten. -
