  • Apple Fellow Phil Schiller quits Twitter

Maybe the future of social media is one social media engine used exclusively by conservatives, and a different one used exclusively by socialists. Companies with a political agenda will use only one of these two engines, and they won't even advertise on the engine that doesn't suit their own political agenda. Neutral companies may never be allowed to advertise on either platform because they will be banned by each platform if they advertise on the other platform.

Basically, you have to pick your side before you can interact with anyone on the Internet. Ultimately, socialists will have their own nationwide VPN and conservatives will be forced to have their own too. This will finally bring peace to the Internet. At least nobody will argue about politics anymore because everyone will be on their own political VPN.
    socialists.  thanks... labelling is fun!

  • Musk threatens to walk away from Twitter deal over high fake user count

The SEC doesn’t monitor speech. No government entity does (out loud).

Even the horrendous Biden “disinformation board” that wanted to redefine truth has been dropped. Wait should be. No nazi tactics in USA please.

Twitter is a discussion platform run by wannabe communists who benefit from capitalism. At least they did… LOL
How to admit I don't understand free speech without saying I don't understand free speech.

  • Musk threatens to walk away from Twitter deal over high fake user count

Elon is one smart and brilliant businessman. He knows what he's doing.
does he, though?  what makes this so fascinating to watch is that this might be the one that knocks him down. buying twitter is a bad idea... for him it's a really bad idea
Dell Buys EMC for $67 Billion
Avago Acquires Broadcom for $37 Billion
AMD Acquires Xilinx for $35 Billion
IBM's Blockbuster $34 Billion Deal for Red Hat
SoftBank Buys ARM for $31.4 Billion
Salesforce Buys Slack for $27.7 Billion
Microsoft Buys LinkedIn for $26.2 Billion
T-Mobile Acquires Sprint for $26 Billion
HP's Infamous $25 Billion Deal for Compaq
Facebook Snags WhatsApp for $22 Billion

these are hi-tech deals.. do any of these look like basically a single individual buying something for fun and distraction?  *that's a rhetorical question, btw...*

I hope.. sincerely.. that he's using this to get out of the deal and he can go back to the lofty ideals of Tesla, SpaceX, Boring Company, Neuralink, Hyperloop, etc etc. instead of trying to do.... whatever the frig this is supposed to be.  Free Speech?  GTFOH.  Seriously.

  • End of an era: Apple's last iPod has been discontinued

will never forget my first road trip with the Gen1 iPod on shuffle mode connected to my car stereo though a cassette adapter.  "I love this song!.... I love this song!... I love this song!"  of course I did.. it was my own music library being played back to me from a device no bigger than a deck of cards.  amazing, transformative experience.  Steve Jobs and team knew what they were doing.  Delivering an amazing customer experience.  Kudos to all involved.  What a success.

  • There's a hack to add CarPlay support to a Tesla

Pretty much reason No. 1 why Tesla never make it to the final contenders list, when looking for a new car. Wireless AppleCarplay is a MUST.
I had CarPlay in my previous Lexus hybrids.  I don't really miss it with Tesla's infotainment system.  Maps is superior and while bluetooth with Siri is fine.. actually having Spotify in the car is pretty useful.  Never mind watching Netflix, Disney+ etc during breaks in the car.  Not a criteria to keep anyone away from Tesla and the supercharger network (which is awesome!)
