No adware, home hub, built in VIsionPro video capture cameras, Apple sound system.  Sony's already shown that you can differentiate using video processing alone.  With the gesturing advancements that Apple's made with the Apple Watch, similar ones could be made using cameras to be able to interact with content on a large screen using gestures from the sofa: Video gaming or other content.

Lots of things that make a large screen useful that aren't for passively watching TV and for which Apple would need to have a hardware entry.

That's a dumbass comment. Were it true, power buttons would have gone the way of the 3.5mm jack, long before the 3.5mm jack.

They did a survey/research to find out if Mac users use the power button? Not likely. This is just Apple being Apple. They wanted to do this, apparently for big and little reasons which can't be shared with the general public.

All those times when you offer to send data to Apple for a crash report or other data?  That's when Apple can find out how you restarted the machine.  Apple collects anonymized data during beta periods as well.  It's not "bad design" to put rarely used items out of the way.  Sometimes that's an affordance in and of itself.

Cook conrgratulated a president. That’s just good manners. And it just so happens apple will likely get some actual backup now when it comes to foreign government bullies. 

 And Tim might be rich enough to be one of the last ones of us to end up in prison or just disappeared.
