The recording feature is a useful bonus.  But I guess this is really for people who want to play their vinyl with only a small amount of investment.  Most albums I have on vinyl, I can get digitally.  Of course you don't get those wonderful clicks and noise that makes a record sound alive.

At some point I will want to get a turnable to listen to vinyl again.  What would be neat is to have it integrate with a very good sound system.
Most of the audiophiles I did business with only played their vinyl LPs once, to record them. They were morbidly afraid of degrading the sound quality, and thus gave up the original sound quality.
I remember going to extremes in trying to keep my albums clean and pristine back in the day (mid 80's). Even then, I could still hear the occasional click/pop/rumble with my mid-level turntable.
Went to HIGH END stereo store in Atlanta earlier this year and OH MY do they have some awesome equipment. I listened to an album that had NO clicks or noise. Had the sales rep Ed switch it back and forth from vinyl to digital and I couldn't hear a difference. I was really amazed at the quality of the sound coming from the turntable. Of course, this was high dollar gear. Still would like to have some of that stuff.
