  • Judge orders Apple to comply with 2021 anti-steering injunction or return to court

    Dear Lowe’s CEO,

I make this cool widget that I would like to sell in your store. The cost is $0 and you cannot mark it up at all. I do make a hefty profit and all of my revenue with licensing fees so you get nothing in return for providing space on your shelves, warehousing, storage, marketing and advertising and providing a ready and willing customer. You must also provide tech support and testing services for free in every state and city to ensure compliance with local laws. Oh, and if you ever change your store layout, you have to give me the same support you give every other vendor in your store.

So, how soon can I get a dedicated end-cap in every single store worldwide to sell my products?

  • Apple confirms that Apple Intelligence Siri features are taking longer than expected

O.M.G. Apple is so far behind!

It seems like Amazon and Google have had secure, private, on mobile device AI for what seems like years now.

    Right?

  • Apple's extortionate upgrade prices can't stop the MacBook Air being a bargain

Don’t like the price of Apple products, don’t buy them.

Apple is a business and prices its products the way they want to and based on what the market will bear. It isn’t a sum of the parts cost+ pricing model. It is up to them to define their business model and they have to weigh all the impacts including profitability, competition, sabotaging Mac Book Pro or iMac sales, etc.

BTW, I just took a look at pricing for a new BMW 3 series. Ranges from $45K for a 330i base model to $109K or more for the top line M3 series. All essentially the same car with more power, better trim and handling. It surely doesn’t cost them more than twice as much to make the higher model.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Weird, what model is it?  I haven't run across any other brand/model yet that had the charging port on the bottom. (not just as a user, but as someone who does IT support for companies and individuals)

not a current model, but it was a direct competitor to the Apple version. Multitouch, gesture, Bluetooth. I still use it.
Wow, an 11-year old mouse that still works well?? I'm impressed.
It does still work well. Don’t really use it. I just like to point out hypocrisy when I see it. It does matches the aesthetic of my 2011 MacBook Pro, iPhone 3 and 5s, three 40 to 55 year old cars and this creaky 62 year old mind. All still in original condition and still working.
