Velotric Thunder 1 review: A tech-infused e-bike in disguise

The battery can be accessed and replaced via the bottom Bracket if necessary.
The Velotric Discover 1 & Nomad 1 both have removable batteries. Those Models are class 2 bikes.
The Thunder Series of bikes are Class 1 bikes. There are 2 models, the lighter model is 32 lbs. What you may experience is that the bike feels lighter than that when carrying, it's well balanced between the rear motor and the mid battery.
