Dearth of new data from San Bernardino iPhone helpful to FBI investigation, sources say
Rayz2016 said:Not sure what's more annoying: the poor attempt at spin, or the FBI thinking folk are stupid enough to believe it.
The only good news we can take from this rather breathless headline is that the FBI have defeated the dormant cyber pathogen that we heard all about.
I'm sure we can all sleep better at night knowing that. -
Samsung sees 10% profit growth on better-than-expected sales of flagship Galaxy S7

All of the tech press fawning over 'Samsungs amazing industrial design'.... and really they are just back to copying the iPhone? The Verge gurgling about an Android Renaissance?
Hopefully the new iPhone this September will have a groundbreaking new design (don't ask me what it will look like - I'm not an Apple engineer!) and we will see how the Android designers fare then. I'm guessing they will somehow look pretty similar. -
Tesla unveils more affordable Model 3, gives glimpse at Apple's future auto competition
sog35 said:Here's the competition. The Chevy Bolt which will cost $30k.
Insane. Tesla must be losing $20,000 on each model 3 they sell
Also that price you mentioned is before stateside federal subsidies. Tesla's price is without subsides. I believe the sticker price on the Bolt is $37,000 or near thereabouts. -
Why Apple's Night Shift in iOS 9.3 will help you get a better night's sleep
I don't remember reading anywhere that Apple said they were the 1st to do this.
Personally this is the function I was most looking forward to with 9.3 and it certainly delivers. I use f.lux on the Mac and have done for years.
One thing for people to keep in mind however is that the actual act of surfing the Internet stimulates your brain as well. Nightshift will help you get you to sleep but it won't solve the problem entirely.
