Is Apple's COVID-19 exposure tracking technology working?
Dan, thank you for your vivid description of what was certainly a harrowing experience. It reminds me a little of that terrible time you had after coming off your motorbike a while ago.
It was certainly interesting to hear how the Exposure Notification works in real life situations. It never occurred to me that a health authority wouldn't bother or be unable to update a positive test result. I wonder if Apple will be able to work out some way of engineering past other roadblocks like this. -
EU may require Apple to give competitors access to Apple Pay tech
I love using ApplePay, however it is much easier using it with a mask if you have TouchID. It is a real PITA to have to lower my mask to make payments, but I understand that no one could have foreseen this situation 2/3 years ago when the FaceID development was underway.
Seems like maybe Apple will have to cut off EU users from ApplePay? Then they can go back back to the payment utopia that banks enjoyed before ApplePay came in.
Because banks always have the consumers best interests at heart and would never, never do anything to undermine privacy, security, consumer choice & convenience.
Now... who wants to buy a nice, cheap bridge? -
