Because you wanted to.  The USA policy has explicitly aimed to limit European military investment in favour of its own hegemony.  It has greatly benefitted the USA's military industrial complex.

This sudden shift to demanding that other NATO members pay their own way is completely historically illiterate and strategically dense.  That said, I'm in favour of it.  If it weakens the USA, especially a USA headed by a fascist-inclined moron, then in the longer term the rest of the world wins.

That's a small package to have the SSD bay and all of that I/O.  I'd be worried about heat.

As with lots of these squabbles, both sides are assholes that could use a clobbering with a common sense and decency fish.

Not quite right, the 20% isn't applied on the end price, it's on the pre-tax price, which the consumer hardly ever sees in countries outside the USA unless you check the detail of your receipts.  If the product is sold for £100, then the pre-tax price would have been £83.33, and the 20% VAT would be £16.66, for a total, inc VAT of £100.
