  • iPhone 14 Pro prototype reveals the humble beginnings of Apple's haptic button project

I think Apple's Project Bongo was an attempt to introduce haptic buttons for the iPhone 15 Pro, including a unified volume button. Prototypes, like the iPhone 14 Pro, were used for drop tests and had placeholder parts but never made it to the final product. This design was eventually scrapped, and the iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro launched without these changes.

  • New Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard don't work with older versions of macOS

What features are missing when using the intel macs?

Looks like Apple is feeling comfortable making even more brazen planned obsolescence moves with their intel culling process.
Less plausible deniability and more straight up. I guess they figure not enough people to make noise to care.

    What exactly was made obsolete?
I think Apple's shift to Apple Silicon has left Intel Mac users missing out on new macOS features like FaceTime's voice isolation, Metal 3 graphics enhancements, and the ability to run iOS apps. With exclusive optimizations in energy efficiency, gaming performance, and professional software, Apple Silicon Macs are now the clear focus, signalling Apple’s gradual move toward phasing out Intel support. As more updates prioritize M-series capabilities, Intel Macs risk obsolescence in terms of both software and performance.
