  • Highway toll text scams are on the rise, and Apple can't completely stop them

I have an easy way to detect a scam text message. I ask myself this one question:

Is it a text message? If yes, then it’s a scam.

Obvious exceptions for self-initiated 2FA and friends/family. But otherwise just assume all text messages are a scam and delete it. And even with some friends/family… I’m sure I’m not the only one with an extended family member of… questionable-integrity, lol.

  • Apple's lowest-selling iPhones still crush rival premium flagships

Crushing rival’s flagship offerings? If only that was enough reason to keep the Mini around.  :'(

  • Don't wait to update: iOS 18.3.2 fixes an actively exploited issue

But if you have disabled Apple Intelligence it will turn it back on and you will have to disable it again.
Did the update reenable Apple Intelligence for you? Mine (on iPadOS) is still off (in Settings) after the update to 18.3.2. I turned it off a few weeks ago and so far it’s remained off.

I don’t have an iPhone compatible with Apple Intelligence, so I can’t check iOS though.

  • iPhone 16e review: All the bells, none of the whistles on this battery-heavy device

MagSafe isn’t the big loss it’s made out to be.  MagSafe can be added on using a case.   If you like to go naked, then you’ll miss it.
I know people often use “MagSafe” and “wireless charging with magnets” interchangeably, but: MagSafe is a wireless charging standard (a standard that uses magnets). The iPhone 16e does not support MagSafe and a case will not add it. A case with magnets will add.., well, magnets. And that’s it.

  • Everyone is a loser in the Apple Intelligence race

Did you mean to write “Everyone is a loser in the artificial intelligence race”? (Not “Apple Intelligence race”.)
    No.

No, as it always has been with Apple, they are talked about differently than other companies are. ChatGPT and Google Gemini are usually discussed in a vacuum. Apple is always compared to everyone else. Thus there is no race from the point of view of these other companies, but when you're talking about Apple It's a race against everyone else.

ChatGPT announces something, if it's not written about in a silo it's always "here's how ChatGPT leaps further ahead of Apple." Or Apple announces something, it's "here's how far behind Apple is in spite of new feature." It's never just Apple on its own.

So, it's an Apple Intelligence race.
Okay. Sorry. I’m still a bit confused (about many things in the article). But okay. The headline is correct. Thank you both for confirming.
