Did a quick search for "Integrated Information Solutions" and found several companies with that name worldwide. I guess Tan forgot to trademark it along with forgetting to actually license his "ideas" with anyone. The USPTO has to stop patenting general ideas that never come to fruition.

Interesting sidebar. "fruition" comes from the word fruit (state or action of producing fruit). Kind of makes sense when talking about patents.
Patents are for ideas, not implementation.
U.S. law is not supposed to allow one to patent an idea. You can patent a process, machine, manufacture or composition.

  • Warren Buffett calls Tim Cook a 'fantastic manager' of Apple

I love Mr Buffett about everything from great investor of our era, regular down to earth person, having billions but modest living, big philanthropic, etc, etc. But, please give Tim Cook respect he deserves with words like Tim Cook the fantastic CEO. How would Mr. Buffett feels if people call him fantastic manager of Berkshire conglomerate.
Buffett like to keep it simple, and has never been one for dressing up a phrase. Also, pretty sure Warren wouldn't care what 'people' call him.

If you have an Apple Store conveniently located nearby or plan on being around one, then I would definitely try to return it. Because that should not be happening this early on. Chances are, they’ll blame it on user error. But if it costs nothing to cheek, you might end up pleasantly surprised.
echo what Japhey said, return if convenient. Could be a materials defect or it's just not durable enough? I'd hope Apple wants examples like this back so they can identify failures and improve the product.

  • Ongoing & enormous Microsoft Exchange server hack hits 30,000 US groups

I really don't understand this continual hacking. If you're that smart and have that much time why not divert that energy to inventing something better rather than trying to look over your peer's shoulder. If the group you're hacking is that much more advanced than you, then though you're smart enough to steal it you're obviously not smart enough to understand it.
It's the opportunity to look over 30,000 "peer's" shoulders, and give that information to those smart enough to understand it.
