National emergency alert test will affect all U.S. iPhones on Wednesday
AppleInsider said:iPhone owners who don't want to receive the emergency alert test can dial specific numbers to disable or enable the system for their devices. Dial *5005*25371# to enable test notifications, or dial *5005*25370# to disable test notifications.
FWIW, we had the following experience in a household with two iPhone 14 Pros, both on ATT but on separate plans/accounts.
One one device (mine, on iOS 17.0.2), dialing *5005*25370# triggered an apparent success message: "Test alerts not allowed". I also confirmed at Settings -> Notifications that Test Alerts were toggled off.
On the other device (hers, on iOS 16.x), dialing *5005*25370# triggered an error message: "Error performing request - Unknown Error".
Despite us doing the above about 36 hours before the scheduled test, both devices received the test message today and sounded the alarm tone. -

Tim Cook to talk Facebook, 'Tim Apple,' more in interview airing Monday
kellymcneill said:Trump said “Tim”... pause... “Apple”. Another way is “Tim, Apple” or “Tim and Apple”
Trump may very well have forgotten Tim’s last name. I don’t know but if you listen to the audio it’s very apparent though that he wasn’t saying Apple as Tim’s last name as the “gaffe” label implies. But y'know, you're right, Trump is definitely not an abject imbecile.
