  • COVID outbreak on 'Mythic Quest' set strains ties between crew and producers

It’s the flu. Grow up. Unless you’re over 80 or have on average 3 comorbidities you have a 99.997% chance of surviving. The gunshot victims bring that average down slightly.
Indeed. If you survived the flu, I daresay most will also survive COVID.
This is true, but hardly the standard most people use when determining health safety.
You could say “most” people survive playing a round of Russian Roulette, but that doesn’t make it safe or reasonable.
Go visit a hospital in California right now and then tell us how it’s no big deal...

  • Apple releases watchOS 7.2 with better ECG and Apple Fitness+

Where in the hell is Fitness+ to be found? If Apple expects people to sign up THEY NEED TO SHOW US HOW TO DO THAT.
I had the same question. Seems that I hadn’t updated my phone to the latest iOS version, so it was just showing the same options as before. I assumed I needed to update the Fitness app, but that wasn’t it...

  • Apple iPhone production reports corroborate 'supercycle' thesis, analyst says

(Not blaming AI writers here, but) ugh "supercycle" is such an overused, unnecessary term.  Some model years are more compelling than others, full stop.
It’s not just that the phone is particularly compelling but also the fact that there is a larger than average percentage who are “due” for a phone replacement as well. When those two “cycles” coincide you get a “super cycle.”

    i don’t have a problem with that...

Cool that it will track O2 level during a workout. With having to wear a mask during cardio, I was always curious to see my O2 level, but had to do that when I was on my cooldown. Even though I was tired, my O2 were usually higher than resting (by a percent or 2. Resting usually 97%, when working out 98-99%.

As for Apple Fitness, not sure how long that will last. I can see people using the stream workout with all these stay at home stuff, but I still prefer the gym.

Wearing a mask while working out can't be healthy.
So the actual data which show that his O2 levels are 98-99% while working out with a mask means nothing to you compared to your uneducated opinion?

    got it.

  • Apple's AirPods Max likely lacks U1 Ultra Wideband chip

Seriously Apple , I am a genuine audiophile and understand that you can pay £1000 + Sennheiser HD 800 headphones that are out of this world.  The £500 + price tag is too expensive for most consumers who know that Beats and Bose headphones are great premium headphones in the £300 range. They won’t appeal to professionals who shop in the £1000 + range either.   It’s at a crazy price point, £350 would have put it above the AirPods Pro yet still within reach for people looking for Apple designed headphones.

I love Apple products and even defended the Mac Pro price, because it is aimed at a particular market.

The AirPods Pro sit between two markets and I may be wrong , but I don’t see strong sales, outside or early adopters with money, who just love Apple Stuff.
Why do people keep commenting on the price of something that they have never tried.
Trying it wouldn’t affect my purchase decision, I am not in the market for any headphones that cost more than $150–i don’t care how awesome.
I just don’t see why people take the price/market slot so personally. If it isn’t for you, have some popcorn and wait to see how it sells. There are plenty of options in all price ranges...
