Epson's EcoTank ET-4760 review: a multi-function powerhouse at a steep price
lkrupp said:We have an Epson WF-2860 that uses the standard ink cartridges. If I order the high capacity ink it costs around $100 for the four colors (I tried the cheap aftermarket ink cartridges and they were a disaster). So these EcoTank models look pretty tempting to me and would seem to pay for themselves in short order in the cost of ink alone.
it’s going to pay for itself so fast, I wish I had done it years ago! -
Facebook preparing to take Apple to court over iOS 14 privacy features
Sadly, regardless of legal action, this issue will resolve itself in Facebook’s favor. They will simply make a game “answer these 5 questions to find out what flavor cake you are” and before it reveals the answer, you will have to click on a little box opting in to giving unfettered access. 90% of the public will do it ... -
Apple's AirPods Max likely lacks U1 Ultra Wideband chip

The £500 + price tag is too expensive for most consumers who know that Beats and Bose headphones are great premium headphones in the £300 range. They won’t appeal to professionals who shop in the £1000 + range either. It’s at a crazy price point, £350 would have put it above the AirPods Pro yet still within reach for people looking for Apple designed headphones.I love Apple products and even defended the Mac Pro price, because it is aimed at a particular market.
The AirPods Pro sit between two markets and I may be wrong , but I don’t see strong sales, outside or early adopters with money, who just love Apple Stuff.I just don’t see why people take the price/market slot so personally. If it isn’t for you, have some popcorn and wait to see how it sells. There are plenty of options in all price ranges... -
M1 Macs deliver Apple's first support for USB4
lezmaka said:"M1 Macs with support for both the refreshed new USB4 and compatibility with existing the Thunderbolt 3 devices that Mac users already have" except external GPUs or anyone that uses more than 2 displays.Get a grip. Don’t let the eye popping benchmarks fool you, these are not the Apple Si pro machines you are looking for because they are NOT pro machines. (I know the 13 incher says pro, but let’s not let marketing sidetrack the discussion) Wait till Apple releases a 16inch MBP or Mac Pro that has limitations that matter to pros to complain about that.
