  • Samsung sees 10% profit growth on better-than-expected sales of flagship Galaxy S7

I forgot to say - I wanted to find out what os it was running because the phone had split screen for apps if you wanted. I used it a few times to see if it was something useful but then found myself never using it and didn't like it.

Anyways it was running 5.1.1 whatever flavour that is. So I try a software update. Uhh huh, no way - your software is up to date. The latest updates have been dl'd and installed.
So my point is, here's this phone which they're still selling here in NZ for about $900 unable to run the latest Os and unlikely to be able to.
iphone 6s is around 1100 here and their s7 is about 1200. The s7 edge is a whopping 1370 ish. Base model prices.

Buy a Sammy ? Nah - waste of money.

Well, I had a charging issue with my iPhone 6s and was given a loaner - a Sammy s6 for 2 and half weeks.

I dunno - there's carrier software, Microsoft software, Google software and then the OS - all of it running and doing stuff.
I figured out how to disable most of the unnecessary crap.
Apple may have a few niggles here and there on the hardware but their software is miles ahead.
ohh and those pages and return buttons v nearly drove me insane.

So happy when I got my 6s back.

  • Review: Apple's 4" iPhone SE is better than we deserve

Maybe most readers here don't have kids... But would have been nicer if the reviewer had asked some kids to try it out and included their opinions. Am thinking of buying two of these for my younger kids.
heh, yea. My darling little princess will get one for her birthday.
She's always "borrowing" her mothers 6s largely because of the camera.
Dropped it about 6 times, no damage.
She can wield her 4s with great effect without dropping that - "but the cameras crap, Dad !"

SE is a better fit for smaller hands ...
