  • Key Apple execs Ive, Federighi, Schiller talk future of Apple, new MacBook Pro

Logical next step (and one that would turbo boost the Apple ecosystem) would be to integrate iOS devices as MacOS peripherals.

No, not integrating the OSes, just letting us use those brand
new TouchBar capabilities with, say, a 12.9" ipadPro as a super peripheral. Will have a much bigger bang than a 1/2" wide strip. With the changes to MacOS and Mac software to support touchbar, all the elements are there.

All that iPad real estate paired in slave mode to a MacOS rebuilt for *optional* touch peripheral use? Game changer!

They have already done this a while ago with the Logic Remote iPad app. Now it's just a matter of expanding that concept across more Mac apps.

  • Apple TV and iOS gain unified television experience with new 'TV' app

Apple's TV strategy is DOA if it continues to be one of six things that hang off a TV. They need to add multiple HDMI ports allowing it tube he conduit everything else passes through and improve the management of those devices
Sounds like your setup could use some simplification. Six devices is a lot to switch between.

Personally, I am down to two devices hooked to my TV and only the Apple TV gets used on any regular basis. The other is a Blu-Ray player that we rarely use anymore. So, one push of a button wakes up the Apple TV and turns on the TV -- ready to go.

This was possible due to the Channels live TV app and large number of network apps now available (still missing a couple though -- Cartoon Network for example). No real need for a cable box or other device anymore.

I still like the way chromecast works.  Just open you app and hit play. Why a middleman app interface?
Chromcast never worked well for me. Many apps seems to glitch when going to commercials -- it was a frustrating experience.

  • Alleged 'iPhone 7' leak offers crystal clear look at larger single-lens camera, tweaked antenna lin

I wonder if they have played around with any wedge/tapered designs for the iPhone (slightly thicker at the top tapering down to a very thin edge at bottom - like a MacBook)? Not sure how it would feel in use, but it could be a cool concept, something different than every other smartphone out there and eliminate the camera bump too. The biggest issue would likely be that it might feel odd when held horizontally or off balance. Camera bump doesn't really bother me, but would be nice to see something unique and interesting (assuming it doesn't compromise functionality).
