The death of a robot designed for autistic children proves Apple's on-device AI is the rig...
This is similar to the painful agonizing death of Wink, turning a once great home automation hub into a paperweight. While it pissed me off to no end, at the end of the day it’s only home automation. This, however, is different. We’re talking about utter irresponsibility when business people are making idiotic choices (such as picking a clearly unsustainable business model) to create and distribute a product without an exit strategy for when the company inevitably shuts down (such as optionally routing services to a local run server) when disrupting the functioning of said product can have catastrophic emotional consequences for a CHILD. This is not a frickin Pokemon. Totally agreed with Mike’s article, these people are vile. -
Apple Vision Pro named innovation of the year, beating transparent TVs and AI cheese
The image quality, immersion, complete lack of any sort of lag, are just completely incredible. Immersive videos are mind boggling. But that’s only the beginning. I honestly don’t understand why game studios havent taken over the platform. It has absolutely everything and more to make it the best gaming platform ever. -
