Man ludicrously blames Apple for his wife catching him communicating with prostitutes
He’s far from being alone in this situation, Apple obviously doesn’t make it clear enough how Messages and Facetime work across devices signed into the same iCloud account. Most people I know don’t understand the difference between their computer login/password and their iCloud login/password, or why if they use their gmail email as iCloud login the password is different… it’s exhausting to be the only techie surrounded by technophobic boomers. -
Apple Vision Pro will get a polish, not an overhaul at WWDC

AI computer showdown - MacBook Air vs. Microsoft Surface Laptop Copilot+ PC
In real life applications unified memory is going to make all the difference. Constantly accessing off-chip memory to copy it to and from various cores wastes cycles and power. The pure core peformance may be slightly better on the Snapdragon but Apple’s elegant design ultimately delivers considerably better performance where it counts. -
Apple loses another designer who worked in Jony Ive's core team
tht said:People obviously have different perspectives on Jony Ive’s run as Chief Design Officer at Apple.Overall, I think it was a net negative. The design group really needed someone to rein in their excesses. I think Apple finally realized that in 2017, and a lot of things were changed inside the company after that.
He was an influence for design over engineering, often resulting in products that are difficult or impossible to maintain, or have lousy characteristics (glue everywhere, poor cooling, inadequate battery life, lack of strength to name a few)
