Exactly what I was thinking, looks like they were very effective at plugging leaks, quite an accomplishment considering the massive number of people involved all over the world in development, testing and manufacturing. I’m ready to be “surprised and delighted” and whatever it is I’m pretty sure I’m buying it 😁

You obviously didn’t live through previous CPU switches… (68k to PPC then PPC to Intel). Within 2 years the fanciest machine with the old architecture became worthless. Honestly at this point I don’t understand why anyone buys Intel computers. Sell that i9 while you can still squeeze some bucks out of it.

It's always been like that. The difference is now the OS provides accurate tools for measuring it. By the way, battery wear and tear is directly related to how you use the phone. If you're constantly on Facebook and Instagram, 12 hours a day, you'll be lucky to have 80% battery health after a couple of years. If you're a very moderate user, it will last much longer -- it's just a matter of battery cycles. I am a heavy user and my batteries last about two years before the performance degrades. I just pay the reasonable replacement fee, sell the phone and upgrade.

How about comparing the display’s apparent crispness to the competition? Any screendoor effect like on the high end Oculus?
