  • Apple registers apple.car, apple.auto and apple.cars domain names

And you can bet the farm that an Apple car will not be powered by hydrocarbon based fuel.
If it uses electricity, sure, it will be. Less of it compared to an ICE, but it's impossible not to be powered by fossil fuels.
I would have thought we're looking at a proprietary charging port and charging stations fed from large solar farms.  In Europe they would of course be fed from wind turbines so you would need to be prepared to be stranded for hours or days occasionally.

Apple.car sounds just fine. It would be nice to have a related online platform onto which audience could offer their view on the upcoming Apple Car, given so many people around the globe are very proud owners and highly satisfied users of Apple products and would love to actively contribute to creating sth disruptive, rather than awaiting the finished shell on wheels. Interaction always brings sweet taste, especially on this topic, thier personal vision of sth inevitably bound to come.

I think I just heard Steve roll over and a faint inhuman scream.

  • Apple blocked Volkswagen from showing off wireless CarPlay at CES, carmaker says

VW:  We are now adopting Android Auto. We admit we made a terrible error of judgement and apologise.

Is that what Apple wants to see?

Android has a pretty decent market share in Germany with 75% of smartphone sales in 2015.

  • Samsung reports weak profits for Q4 while shipping 12.5% more smartphones, casting doubt on Apple,

I imagine reading this must be similar to talking to someone who was high frequency bipolar. Samsung failed - no actually they did well so Apple must be doing well - Samsung missed their target - no actually they were spot on and on and on.

  • RBC cuts Apple target to $130, expects iPhone sales 'noise' to last through March quarter

Isn't this just herd mentality at this point? And what is a 4" iPhone going to do? I'm sure it will sell well enough but I doubt it will be some major growth catalyst. I'd love to know which current Apple suppliers would disclose sales data to Wall Street analysts. It's one thing if it's a public company reporting financial results but I have a hard time believing all these Apple suppliers are going to be gossiping about iPhone part orders with financial analysts. Also, if there was going to be a significant decline in the March quarter is that something Apple would have go pre-warn about? Obviously they haven't provided guidance for March yet so there's nothing to revise. How exactly does that work?
Herd mentality is and always will be a big part of the stock market.
So if i'ts not egregious manipulation by evil forces it's herd mentality.  I heard somewhere that 85% of share market transactions were algorithm driven.

I'll follow Sog there, and want him to remain here as well. Stop harassing Sog! Ignore his comments if you don't like them.
Sog is repetitious to a fault on stock matters and has become mean spirited towards Tim Cook and irrational.

Add to that, Sog lost his bet, and now has reneged on his promise.

Let's all go back and read Sog's previous posts where he reveals his genius for investing.
I'm happy to kick that off:

    I just bought 10x $140 Jan2016 calls for $1.05.  So about $2100 'investment'
If Apple reaches $150 at any time before the end of the year I'll make about $20,000 in profit.
At this point its a long shot but I like my 10 to 1 odds.

I'd call it gambling but in fairness, he probably would too.
