  • Early reviews peg Samsung's Galaxy S7 as a serious contender for best smartphone

    od review.

Only part I disagree is with the display. Yes the S7 colors really pop and are vivid.  By IMO they look over saturated and fake. I prefer the iPhone display that seems to be more accurate and less in your face. It really is a preference thing though.

As far as the camera I think its closer.  It seems that the iPhone focuses faster and takes pictures faster than the S7.  Plus live photo's are nice.
Anandtech's measurements of the S7 display accuracy have it ahead of the iPhone in that regard, so you are just showing your bias.  And as for the camera in the S7 - it focuses faster and takes photos faster than the iPhone.  Continue to make things up, there is at least some amusement in your lame attempts at fiction.

In lower light, the cameras are not even close.  In good light, they are both very capable.

It's also a misunderstanding the design. the GPU doesn't "throttle" it spikes. It has a turbo mode because games themselves spike in GPU processing power depending on what is going on. In Final Fantasy IX, the GPU can manage at a normal clock rate when you're running around a city or dungeon, and then burst into a faster rate during a more complex battle sequence. The peaks and valleys of video games allow for a GPU design like this to be very effective.
On non demanding games that may be true but when you have to run a game in 1440p resolution the GPU will have to throttle since it can't reach Vsync even on max power. My question is why put a 1440p screen on a phone when your GPU can't handle it at 30fps? My guess is because they wanted to mitigate the problems associated with Pentile displays and raising the PPI is the only solution. Also, even though they offer a higher resolution the UI doesn't offer more content. If you load a web page on the 6s and the s7 they will show the exact same content. I just don't see the point of having these ultra high resolution displays on phones.
I think Samsung have such a high PPI for the sake of use with the Gear VR.

I'm sure all the non-Americans watching this fiasco are laughing their a**es off. It's amazing how many laws he's breaking while forcing his freedom of speech onto so many sheep. If he was the president and said half the things he's saying right now, he'd be put in jail. If you don't know what I mean, read up on the laws against discrimination to start with.
I can assure you the last thing we are doing is laughing.  We are mostly absolutely terrified.  Europe is still reaping the shít sown by Bush and his neo-con pupetmasters in the form of ISIS/Daesh and the refugee crisis.  Trump will likely start a nuclear WW3.

And in the early days of the iPod, piracy was about the only way you could get content to put on them.

  • EU antitrust chief: 'don't hold your breath' for results of Apple-Ireland tax audit

Vestager refused to give a new deadline, saying instead that the commission would "wait for the job being done thoroughly and with the quality that we want it to be done with."

"That is what decides the timeline," she added.

Elections may also be driving the timeline. By holding off a decision, some politicians will not feel pre-election heat for being pro/anti Apple on this matter. After being elected into office, the politicians can openly express their leanings without too much fear of being voted out of office for a few years.
Which elections and what is the timeline?

There seems to be a number of people who are projecting, based on their perception of  their own national political system and are assuming it has relevance to the way the EU and the Commission operate.
