  • Microsoft unveils new Surface Pro ahead of Apple Mac & iPad Pro refreshes

    baederboy said:
Surface has a huge advantage over any iPad: mouse cursor. No way iPads will be taken seriously in businesses until it behaves as a proper computer, as Apple claims they are. This coming from an Apple fan.

Do you have an iPad? If you have the software keyboard showing, use two fingers on the keyboard area and the keyboard area turns into a giant touchpad to move a cursor within the current text box.
On latest iPhones force touch in the keyboard area similarly activates it as a touchpad.
What else would you need a mouse cursor for? If you want to move to a different area use your finger and touch where you want to go.
Are people aware that soft keyboard can be turned into giant touch pad to move cursor? It was a revelation to me when I discovered this. Made it very easy to precisely move around in a text box.

i did not know this its brilliant, not sure how i missed it thanks!!!

  • Quickly adjust AirPods volume by percentage and check listening levels with Siri

It's the same with the iPhone also. Use the same commands here and even if you say specific percentages (e.g. 2%) it'll still raise/lower by the standard predefined chunks.
The AirPods do not have a volume control as they do not have an amplifier.  Volume is provided via the connected device and is subject to its limitations.
Well of course AirPods have an amplifier. They receive digital bit stream, decode it and amplify it.

perhaps Apple can also travel back in time, and having read this very article, that must have gone back in time to submit a prior patent.

  • Elago W3 Stand stand makes a charging Apple Watch look like a miniature Macintosh 128K

    Must have!

I have Elago's R1 Intelli Cases for my Apple TV 4 remotes and LOVE them.

    Without the case:

    1. The remote easily slides out of my hands and onto the floor or down inside furniture.
    2. I touch the trackpad unintentionally causing undesired operation.
    3. The remote gets dented, cracked, and/or scratched when it hits the tile floor.
    4. I can't tell which end is up in the dark.
    5. The remote scratches my furniture.

Elago's case solved all of these problems and created absolutely none. Their products appear well thought out and well made. I'm happy to see they have a solution for my Apple Watch, too!
Thanks for this - first 4 are a problem for me too - especially #2 and #4 ( this is not clever design many people frequently use remotes in near darkness)

Ok as an owner of 7 yes SEVEN pairs of PowerBeats2 wireless Bluetooth head phones (This isn't Apple. This is BEATS!

    .....

    SUMMARY:
unpair all devices before attempting to pair to a new one
translation:  stop driving one car before you start driving another car!

translation: don't put the cable that controls the damn headphones behind your head trying to use it like  A contortionist and they will actually work correctly
ok - why only pair with one device - supposed to be a key feature of W1 chip it can be 'paired' automaticalaly with all your apple devices

great that your so happy - bit of course you have 7 pairs of powerbeats2 but this thread is about powerbeats3

last - put the little box in fron near your mouth, behind you neck - whatever - frequently i complaints - so maybe i had a defective set, but too many complaints - basically they sucked -
