EU lawmakers unfazed by Meta's threat that it would pull out of Europe
The problem is the EU, and it's "subsidiaries" i.e. countries have found an avenue to just $FINE American Companies willy nilly and nit pick. Until Apple or whatever American company just says ok no more.
I honestly say we should just abandon the EU and let them live with just Android and Windows. Like a FULL 100% pull out.

Apple urges lawmakers to reject bill that would force it to allow side-loading
AppleUfmyI said:I could understand this if there were no other options in the market for a phone. And frankly, isn’t this a first world problem? Perhaps move onto other more important legislation. And, if you don’t like proprietary k-cups, then buy a coffee machine that does not use them. You don’t force Keurig to support every type of coffee capsule in the market. How many congressmen have security controlled phones to support their security clearance? Maybe they should write legislation to side load on those? It is a controlled device with monopololistic practices of a closed system after all !geez.
He cheap'd out and spent $45, the first one broke in a little over a year. He spent $60 on another one, that broke a couple years later but had a warranty, from Walmart. I took it back and got replacement unit from Walmart. The 3rd one (the replacement) broke in under a year.
I said that's it damn it, I went out and spent $90 cause they had come down since the first release at $150, like 15 years ago,
I was like here! DONE, I am sick of this replacing these stupid knock offs. I told you get the REAL DEAL and stop being stupid.
This story may seem off topic but the point is, if you get the knock offs you get CRAP.
Somethings CAN be done, 99% the right way in a controlled environment.
I still have that 4th coffee machine, the authentic Keurig one, and it's lasted over 4 years.
SECURITY, DO IT FOR ME! I don't have an army of 10,000 programmers to do it myself.
I want to make money selling software, STOP PIRACY, I don't have an army of 10,000 coders to it myself.

Reddit breaks down the math on how the new MacBook Pro saves them money
muthuk_vanalingam said:IreneW said:willett said:A real-world example of 45 minutes waiting for builds cut in half, translated to a 3 month payback on buying a new M1 laptop. That’s powerful validation of the SoC and system engineering that went into this machine.
Even if they cut that in half.
Let's say you have a guy he ends up doing 2 builds a day? at 60 minutes, one before lunch and one after lunch.
Where as on certain projects, you can be 100% focused and do say 4 "quick" builds in one day, and run tests even. And like others have said only feel like going to the bathroom or getting a quick drink or snack, and go right back to work, cause stuff is done.
Heck back in the day we smoked cigarettes cause of the extra 7-10 minutes of time something took to "run", for whatever "batch" we took 20 minutes setting up. If we would have had computers at this speed, I mean we had 3 Macs, that we would setup Photoshop Rips and rotates, each machine we would open launch keystroke etc Quickeys heck I would have NEVER smoked cigs...

Intel attempts to convert Apple fans in 'social experiment'
It's so true tho, especially like with the Fold Samgsung. (which I can admit downfall, I not a Window FOOL) BUT
and here is the BUT,
Apple's "Spell" is the CODE and the OS. macOS and iOS, and ecosystem of those OSes.
I mean heck I'd take TON's of other hardware, as long as there was a ROBUST track record of NOT breaking.
Some PCs straight break, and that's a fact. BUT, I am fixated on the CODE that Apple offers and Apps creadted by the developers along with the smoothness, and:
Hardware reliability and Software reliabilty.
I mean this was SOO funny the other day, and last year, that Microsoft released or manufactured I should say, actual HARDWARE, without Software for it!! Without actual HOME GROWN software that makes the device work!! Insanity, honestly, and Samsung kinda does the same thing, it's pretty disgusting and disgraceful from a developer stand point IMHO...
