  • What do you want to see from AppleInsider in 2024?

I thoroughly enjoyed the deeply deeply researched topics. I don’t know if those bring bigger popularity or hits than the controversial ones.

I can say for sure that you should to avoid the political stuff because that just makes people (like me) upset. And I know I shouldn’t get upset even if I agree.  Just bringing it up is not good.  Better to say nothing.   I should take my own advice.

FUD-busting articles are great because they shut down the haters.  It’s important to put negative sensational headlines in perspective.  Just don’t blindly dismiss everything negative as being FUD there’s a sliver of truth in everything.

I will always point out the typos or grammar.  It’s not meant to be snide or critical or bash you.  It’s just fun especially if I can make a pun or a joke.  No harm offense is meant.   It’s just ribbing and I love ribs.  I expect you to fix them silently or not.  That’s your choice.

Thanks for running this site.  I’ve been coming for many years.

  • Apple won't offer Apple Watch service replacements on out of warranty devices

Apple needs to settle AND destroy the patent (if it’s possible) afterwards.  Short term pain, long term gain.

  • Apple won't offer Apple Watch service replacements on out of warranty devices

Apple can’t offer service replacements because the replacements violate the ban.

They can’t service watches because they don’t service watches.  They replace them.  They may later be refurbished, but Apple cannot sell (or replace or even give away) watches with the infringing hardware in them.

I don’t expect this ban to last into the new year because there’s too much money at stake.   The scrambling at Apple HQ is probably insane right now.

  • How Apple Savings compares vs other high-yield savings accounts

Apple may not have the highest rate, but the ease of use for the savings, transferring in (i guess I should try transferring out), and balance checking is pretty click and simple.

Moving money around to get the highest rate is unreasonable.  But when my banks offer only 0.04%, I knew I had to do something.

  • Apple is already gearing up for the Apple Watch online sales ban

I'm gonna be the FIRST to say it, but if you like, need, or depend upon the blood oxygen feature in your Apple Watch Series 9 or otherwise, I would NOT update WatchOS after today until this situation is resolved.  You may lose it.

Is it being alarmist?  Sure.  So what?  Going a few days or weeks without updating your watch isn't like a big risk to anyone.   It's your choice.  It's your watch.
