  • iMac 24-inch M3 review: A clear sign that Intel Mac support is ending soon

I'm going to go out on a limb to say that the 2024 MacOS release will be the last one that supports Intel machines unless Sonoma is already it.  There's is no way that Apple will support a 2020 iMac in 2025, five years later.

  • US Apple Watch sales and import ban: What you need to know

Apple Watches won’t be banned.  Worst case, Apple issues an update disabling the pulse oximeter.

  • New Apple Silicon has arrived with M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max chips

People seem to forget that the MBP M3 plain still drives its own display in addition to an external display.    Same with the M3 iMac.

The M1 or M2 mini can run two displays because  it doesn’t have a built in display.

Many will never connect an external display.  One if fine.  It’s $1600.

Not everyone is a multi-display user.  I happen to use three at home, but you don’t see me complaining about a machine I’m not buying anyway.

  • Apple Car expected to arrive sometime before 2030

Apple isn’t “waiting”.  They are probably developing so-called “self-driving” which, as we all know, is not as easily achieved as some have supposed.

I know that without decent volumes, automotive suppliers of “popcorn” parts, unless they are 100% carryover with no additional costs, were not giving Apple the time of day.   Suppliers don’t work on parts seven years out.   Typical design and validation time is 18-24 months if it’s new.

Foxconn might build such a car for Apple in Lordstown, but their history is to break promises in the USA (see Wisconsin).   I think Foxconn may built for Fisker, like Magna does.

    Time will tell.

  • 13-inch MacBook Pro vs 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3: performance & price - compared

I’d rather see a comparison of the last 5 years of similar machines compared than last year’s.

Most people do not upgrade every release.  My iMac is a 2013 model.   2013!

How about the performance graphed from five years of improvements.   That may make some people have some thought about “upgrading” for work throughput.

Otherwise, these articles are fine for a short term reference.
