I reckon the iMac was going to get an M2 last year until M2 had to be delayed which resulted in a skip to M3 given how many iMacs they sell.

I “want” an M3 Ultra Studio but I don’t expect to be able to buy it this year

With new larger iPads (maybe a Wacom killer?) and M3?
ZBrush for iPad is coming in ‘24 so the time is right…

Nothing new here. Vision Pro will be great but not mass market, until a successor in at least a few years.

If you need a 3 metre TB4 cable what you gonna buy? Is there an alternative when you need 3 metres? 

My Apple TB4 Pro 3 metre cable is really, really nice and does everthing I want with a price I’m happy with. It’s far nicer than my 2m Caldigit TB4 cable for example. I’ll stick to buying the best even if it costs more. 

The hardware accelerated raytracing (HAR) and the new camera advances were the two big standouts for me.

Many of use have been waiting a long time for Apple to introduce HAR into Apple Silicon - the M3 Ultra is going to be an amazing Mac.

My other half will want the iPhone 15 Pro Max for the camera and I will want it for the HAR (unless I just wait for the next iPad Pro 12.9/13). 

The new addition of hardware accelerated raytracing is likely to set a new default level of device requirement for many future games - this should drive upgrades significantly too. 

Of course the hardware accelerated raytracing that iPad and Macs will get will also be awesome, including in conjunction with Vision Pro. I can actually see Vision Pro being shipped with M3 next spring instead of M2.
