  • South Korea finalizes rules forcing App Store to take third-party payments

Apple will require a separate app for South Korea if the developer uses a different payment method and the developer will still have to pay 27% for the hosting, distribution, customer acquisition etc.

Apple will likely provide an API for developers ot inform Apple of the sales made outside of Apple’ in-app payment method - so that Apple can collect the 27% they are due.

Almost all developers will stick with Apple in-app payments for less hassle.

  • New Mac mini & display in 2022, Mac Pro & iMac Pro coming in 2023 says Ming-Chi Kuo

If the iMac can be considered a pro computer then you may as well call a raspberry pi a pro computer

    It’s a Lifestyle computer.

    Dream on troll.
    I still use a 2014 iMac professionally.
So even the 24” iMac can be a professional tool.
The larger iMac Pro will be a further step up.
Next you’ll be saying my new 16” MBP M1 Max is a hobbyist computer for school kids.

  • Apple argues that separate app binaries comply with Dutch app payment law

It is trivial and straightforward to have more than one version of an app for a distinct territory.

It sounds like ACM have not correctly understood Apple’ requirements.

For example it makes much more sense for the Dutch law to be implemented with a distinct app rather than the app having to try to determine if the user is in Holland or not.

What if a Dutch citizen has the app and goes to Germany? In Apple’s method the user has the same experience as when they are in Holland. Otherwise they will lose the ability to use an alternative payment mechanism when outside Holland.

Dutch law does not count when a user is in a different territory!

  • M2 13-inch MacBook Pro may land in March with unchanged design

I’ve said it before but the TouchBar tech should eventually become TouchKeys - so physical keys which can each have changeable icons on them. So in Photshop you have the photoshop shortcut icons on the keys for example. Best of both worlds.

  • M2 13-inch MacBook Pro may land in March with unchanged design

Personally I would be inclined to expect a new 13” MBP with refreshed design like the 14”/16” but still with the M1 chip.

I can’t see any point in the same MBP but M2 instead of an M1. The M1 is still really capable - I use the cheapest M1 Mini with 8GB Ram for coding, video conversion and some 3d work!
