I would hope the two common-sense things that come out of this is American companies (like Google) are banned from directly helping the military of other countries and that owners of social media become responsible for the content their users publish on their platform - at the very least social media companies like Facebook should have far stricter policies around user accounts, and ensure it is not possible to create an account without proving your identity.

I think Cook has done well so far, glad he mentioned web apps being an option for developers instead of the app-store and also that he mentioned PlayStation and Xbox - they have similar app-stores on their platforms. I'm not sure what he said will have been heard or understood though, politicians aren't usually interested in answers to their questions.

I think the point is that if I develop a game for PS4 or Xbox I can’t sell it without giving Sony or Microsoft a big chunk of every sale.

Whilst recently watching WWDC videos it occured to me that some of the presenters could actually be wearing Apple Glass this year without us knowing.

I agree with the general thrust of the article that the amount of effort Apple has expended on AR means it will surely be something big when it lands.
