2019 iPhone sticking with Face ID, but Android moving to in-screen fingerprint sensors
Face ID is just plain better than fingerprint. I use both every day, one on my iPad and the other on my iPhone X. I didn’t say perfect, just better. Much better. One less step in unlocking my device. I just pick it up and the great majority of the time it’s unlocked before I even think about it. The only time it’s awkward is when I forget to wear my watch at Trader Joe’s and have to use Pay on my phone instead. The terminal requires that the phone tap or be close to it, which tends to put my face out of range or at a bad angle as it’s trying to confirm my ID for the purchase. Probably just need to use it more often and make sure I’m doing each step in the proper order.

Apple HomePod coming to Canada, France & Germany on June 18, gets AirPlay 2 & stereo pairi...
For god sakes update Siri. The one thing I find most useful is “Add Mayo to the shopping list.” Half of the time she says: “Okay, I’ve added mayo to the shopping list.” Cool. The other half of the time she says: “Sorry, Notes hasn’t set that up with me yet.” What!? The two options seem to be completely randomized. Oddly, the shopping list is set up through Reminders, not Notes. I’ve sent this bug report in to Apple numerous times. I don’t need AirPlay 2, I need the basics done right. Super annoying.

Video: Wishlist of features and fixes Apple could give the HomePod during WWDC 2018
Trying to add items to a shopping list has become a running joke in our house. When I use the same command: “Hey Siri, add Cornflakes to the shopping list” I get the following responses randomly. 1) “Okay, I’ve added Cornflakes to the shopping list.” 2) Sorry, I’d like to, but Notes hasn’t been set up for that yet.” When I first got the device I asked it create a shopping list, and it did, using the Reminders app. When it does work, it adds things to the Reminders Shopping List which is fine. But why she persists it getting confused about Notes is beyond me.
