I know I've been using Apple Pay a lot more ever since my physical card got the chip. The chip is crazy slow, slower than swiping was. It finally motivated me to change my habits and pull out my phone to pay instead. 

Nice that they've done this but holy crap the MTA apps are bad. Whatever the procurement process is for apps is not accounting for quality. The best thing they could do would be to provide an API for ticket purchases and let a 3rd party make the app itself. 

Or enable Apple Pay on the conductor's ticket terminal

For any single person, it's impossible to say that with certainty. But statistically, it's more right than not.

That said, while new ideas are an important part of making a successful product, they're only a part. Most "creativity" is actually knowing how to apply existing ideas to new situations. Something that becomes easier through experience (and age). 

The idea that they're upset about exclusives is funny. They're upset artists are bypassing them and releasing straight to streaming. 

Doesn't seem fair to pay artists less because you decided to not charge most of your customers.
