Unions were / are fundamental in creating a middle class, as union's power dissolved over the past 3 decades so have good blue collar wages and a growing middle class. This is a small victory but hopefully in this time of extreme division of wealth people will embrace the unions again as a tool to bring back living wages.

First look: Brooklyn celebrates the grand opening of its first Apple Store
Walked by on my way home. It looks amazing. The exterior fits the neighborhood perfectly, but the inside is the updated Apple Store layout with wood shelving and giant video wall. Honestly, the interior is a big step up from either the Soho or 5th avenue stores. Makes me wonder when they'll update the flagships to the new design.

If Apple doesn't include Bluetooth earphones it will because it's too expensive. But that will only highlight the problem with Bluetooth headphones -- they're expensive. It will be hard for them to say "Bluetooth is the future! But we're not going to include them with the phone, are you crazy? Those things are expensive!"
