Biggest missing feature is multiple users. I can buy a surface or MBA and various family members can use it. IPad is tied to a single one of my kids appleid.

I don’t work for any lock company. Look in Reddit’s august lock for tons of examples from many people. Personally have the gen4 and it’s junk. Turn off wifi if you don’t want to spend a fortune on batteries and just use HomeKit . It’s super slow. You issue the unlock command and then wait in the rain for 10 minutes. I suppose all is peachy if the whole family uses their app instead but the whole point of HomeKit is so my kids don’t need to sign up with every crappy cloud service!

It’s really too bad they didn’t just put tvOS on these with a Mac display app in it. They could have even had a FaceTime app so the display could also optionally function as a stand alone device… and then use the remote or connected Mac to control it…

eventually once the APIs were stable, third parties could then implement their own “connected Mac” apps if there was any advantage/market for it.

Another con for the Logitech is that it is still not available in many countries like Canada…
