  • Apple Park opens, Woz scammed, Apple Watch pummels Swiss watches -- February 2018 in Revie...

I don't know why we're talking about February 2018, but, based on the drone incident:

"Hey mister, can I have my drone back?"
"No!!! And get off my solar panel!!"

  • Bad Lip Reading skewers Apple's keynotes in latest video

I guess it takes a lot to tickle my funny bone these days.  When I was young I’d be rolling with laughter at stuff that today I just look at and think, really, someone spent time out of their life producing that?   Not sure if I’d characterize it as childish, adolescent, or what?  Maybe adolescent is closest.  Like the American Pie movies, or those Hangover movies.  I occasionally am recommended to watch those, and for the longest time I resisted, but a while back I switched on one of the Hangover movies.  It proved to me what I already knew; my friends have retained but not refined their senses of humor since high school.  And let’s be clear on one thing... I absolutely will judge your intellect by your sense of humor.  I’ll take a pass on meeting in person anyone associated with this Bad Lip Reading trope [sic].
I have to disagree and I wouldn't voluntarily watch an American Pie movie either.   What's hysterical about the Bad Lip Reading is three things:  how well the lip sync is done, the uncanny voice impersonations and most importantly (to me), the attitude.   It completely retained Apple's self importance and over-the-top style at these events.   While I wouldn't want to watch more than one of these and I wouldn't want it to be any longer than it was, I think it worked as comedy quite well.

But...different strokes for different folks.   One person's comedy is another person's stupidity or boredom.

  • Declining iPhone sales in India is a sign Apple is failing to adapt its business

Tim Cook is the wrong leader for this day and age.
Apple just had FOUR record quarters in terms of both Net Sales and Net Income.   Their Net Income (at $59.6 billion in fiscal 2018) was LARGER than their Net Sales through 2009.   Sales are 7.3x what they were 10 years ago.    But Tim Cook is failing?

Having said that, I do think that Apple is pricing too high and there are signs that iPhone sales are tapering off substantially.  Otherwise, Apple wouldn't have pulled the b.s. that they're not going to report units anymore.

India's per capita income was only $1670 in 2016.   Another source says that in 2016, average annual nhousehold income was Rs 202800 (just $2883).   Even a household making 5x the average can't really afford a current iPhone.  It's amazing they sell much of anything there.

  • Class action suit alleges Apple lies to customers over size & resolution of iPhone X, XS &...

Where were they in the days of analog TV when almost every single TV set over scanned?

How about the fact that 1080 resolution on TV sets represents the number of vertical pixels (sets are actually 1920x1080) and that "4K" sets are measuring the horizontal resolution (3840) and isn't "4K", so where's the class action suit for those missing 160 horizontal pixels and 345,600 total "missing" pixels.   Etc.

Why aren't they suing car companies because posted gas mileage is rarely actually achieved in real-life driving.

  • Qualcomm cannot use Apple's move to Intel chips as evidence in antitrust case, judge rules...

Monopolies themselves are not illegal, but the Sherman Anti-Trust Act prevents them from using their power to gain advantages. which Qualcomm is accused of doing.   Qualcomm lost $billions (after taxes) this past fiscal, so from their standpoint, they probably don't feel like they're gouging anyone.
