The original guy that found this should have quietly notified Apple through the official channels for reporting vulnerabilities. If Apple had not responded in a fair amount of time - then go public. He has just exposed a lot of people to having information stolen.

It does not matter how good the surface is ( or is not). Since Windows Phone has been abandoned, Delta are not going to equip their staff with IPhones for one task, and Surface for the other. They have to go all in with iOS. Oh how the worm has turned for Microsoft where 'standardizing on a single OS' works for Apple...

Yup this is huge. Most of the existing monitoring is done by aging Windows machines ripe for replacement.

So true. I silently scream while people sit there sticking the chip card in, waiting for the "remove card" message ( and forget their card). Why retailers can't see that Apple Pay speeds up transactions and shortens lines at the check out is beyond me.Not even. Credit card chip readers suck big time. They are very very slow and annoying. Just skipping the chip reader alone is worthwhile. It used to be fast when it was swipe but now that chip has replaced them it’s hellish.

IPhone 7. No battery issues at all. As good or better than iOS10. As one person noted, wait 24-48 hours before making any judgements. There is for sure some housekeeping going on in the background for a while.
