Apple 'destroys dreams' says Telegram, as it shuts down monetization plans
Given that Telegram is a cesspool of scammers and charlatans, I’m glad that Apple’s standing their ground on this. Telegram has done nothing to stop this behaviour and now they want you to supply them with information about your credit cards etc?
Put me in support of Apple please.

It makes sense now that Apple controls all the developments of their chips. Off the shelf controllers were probably too bulky or slow for iPhones. -

Isn’t 2G etc only for data? I know phones that still work here in New Zealand from before 3G days can still make phone calls if they were on the old BellSouth/Vodafone days. Not the old Telecom ones though because initially those were analogue on the CDMA network.
Text messaging is a different story. I also believe there’s issues with older credit card style SIMs. But I didn’t think the 3G etc system affected calls, only data.
